What started as a home-bakery by Chandini and her mother-in-law Cherene, The Baking Table soon became a full-fledged baking operation. Focusing on ingredients and quality, it prides itself on being authentic, pure, good for the soul and the body. A strong Scottish influence that Cherene brings in, with her years of baking expertise, is the inspiration for the brand mascot- an adorable Scottish Terrier and a modernised Tartan print that is synonymous with the brand's packaging identity. While creating the packaging and the communication it was very important to bring to the customer all the endeavours of the team in the kitchen which is illustrated and explained in great detail, focussing on ingredients and their quality. Using illustration as a tool has worked well for the brand and helped them really interact with their customer!
